Welcome to a painting class where there's no such thing as making mistakes! Participants are invited to explore painting in a space that's all about freedom, fun, and self-expression—not perfection.
Split into two age-appropriate groups, these classes are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage every child to express themselves without fear of judgment, performance, or “getting it right.” Here, art is about the process, not the product.
Ages 5–7
Through playful mark-making and color splashing our youngest participants are free to experiment and experience the joy of creating.
No rules, just fun and imagination!
Ages 8–12
This group gets curious and adventurous, exploring painting as a way to discover and express themselves. Participants will be encouraged to take creative risks, follow their instincts, and let their intuition lead the way. It’s a space to enjoy the freedom of art making without pressure or critique.
Cost: $180 plus HST (All materials are provided)
Location: Classes take place in the studio on the second floor of the Old Baddeck Post Office, located at 532 Chebucto St, Baddeck. Enter through the main entrance on Chebucto Street. Please note: there are two sets of stairs to climb.
Dates: Classes run on Fridays starting July 4th until August 22nd. There will be no classes on July 18th.
Time:
• Ages 5–7: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Ages 8–12: 1:00 PM – 2:15 PM
