Dinao is a visual artist and a masters-certified expressive arts therapist with over a decade of experience in expressive arts therapy, community arts facilitation, and body-centered psychotherapy with people of all ages. She is a certified practitioner of sensorimotor psychotherapy—a therapeutic approach that integrates the body, trauma, and attachment theory.

Her work is grounded in harm reduction, anti-oppression, and trauma-informed principles, and is shaped by a commitment to creating spaces for connection. Dinao draws inspiration from contemplative, relational, and land-based approaches to community building, recovery, and art-making.

Outside of her practice, she finds joy in tending her garden, spending time with family and friends, and cross-country skiing whenever she can.

Dinao is based in Baddeck, on Unama’ki—the land of fog—which lies within the unceded, ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaw People.
